BITCHIN'....

If You Know, You Know......

“Joey G and the Bitchin’ Crew” have made a name for themselves within the truck community with Bitchin’ builds like RedBox, BlackCherry and January’s Calendar Feature ♠️BlackJack♣️ But Joey’s passion for this lifestyle started way before the Bitchin’ Crew and BlackJack.

Joey was born and raised in Arizona. He was raised by his grandparents in San Manuel, a small mining town just North of Tucson. Growing up, Joey formed a unique bond with his grandfather. He taught Joey everything he knows about cars. His grandfather always had a project that he was working on in the garage and he always did the work on those projects himself. His grandfather always made a point to include Joey in those projects, even at a young age. He would teach him how to wash the trucks and how to work on things. Hindsight, Joey realized that his grandfather was not just teaching him how to wash a truck. But he was instilling in him responsibility, work ethic, respect and how to take care of things. This time out in the garage with his grandfather not only taught Joey those valuable life skills, but also opened up a whole new world for him. The truck world. This was the start of Joey’s passion for building trucks.

You can see that passion behind each one of Joey’s builds and BlackJack is no exception to

that. BlackJack is a 1990 OBS 454SS built on the first ever GSI OBS chassis. The reason that Joey chose the OBS body style for this build goes back to high school. Joey’s first truck was a 1988 OBS Shortbed Regular cab. Everyone at his high school had lifted truck and trucks to take to the desert and in the mountains. But Joey was not interested in that. He wanted to lower his truck, so he worked at the local True Value after school and 5 days a week during the summer and when school was not in to save money to buy his first drop kit.

Since then, Joey has been a part of some of the biggest and baddest builds out there. The thing that stands out in each build? PASSION. Joey believes that balance is the key. Pick your passion. Find your balance. Joey has found that balance by making the trucks and shows a “family tradition”. He loves bringing his family and friends to the shows and making them a part of everything he does.
